Juventus crumbles against Empoli in the Italian league


Juventus suffered a shocking defeat as they were beaten 4-1 by hosts Empoli in a match that took place at Carlo Castellani Stadium on Monday evening.

This game was part of the 36th round of the Italian league.

Just a few hours before the match, Juventus received devastating news when the sports court announced a deduction of 10 points from their first-team's total in the Italian league this season, pushing them down to the seventh position.

To make matters worse, they faced a heavy defeat of four goals to one against Empoli.

Empoli's goals came from Francesco Caputo, who scored twice in the 18th and 47th minutes, Sebastiano Luperto in the 21st minute, and Roberto Piccoli in the 90+3rd minute.

Federico Chiesa scored the only goal for Juventus in the 85th minute.

With this loss, Juventus remains stuck at 59 points in the seventh position in the Serie A table, while Empoli sits in fourteenth place with 42 points.
