The management of Italian club Milan has reached an agreement on the terms of a new contract for Portuguese star Rafael Leão.
Fabrizio Romano, a transfer market expert in Europe, indicated on his Twitter account that the new contract has already been signed today, Thursday, and will be officially announced next week.
The contract details were also revealed, stating that the Portuguese player has signed a deal that extends until the summer of 2028, with a release clause allowing his departure for €175 million.
Rafael Leão will receive an annual salary of €5 million, in addition to other financial incentives.
Leão, 23 years old, has been playing for the Rossoneri for four seasons, having joined from Lille OSC in the summer of 2019. His current contract expires at the end of the upcoming season in the summer of 2024.
The Portuguese striker has been one of Milan's most dangerous weapons this season, scoring 13 goals and providing 13 assists in 45 matches.
