Ancelotti Press Conference: We have to endure moments of hardship against City... and we are not thinking about penalty shootouts

Carlo Ancelotti, the head coach of Real Madrid, stated that his team needs to endure moments of hardship in their match against Manchester City.

Manchester City will host their opponent, Real Madrid, tomorrow, Wednesday, at the Etihad Stadium in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final.

Ancelotti spoke in a press conference held today, Tuesday, saying, "Our plan is to try to achieve the best individual and collective results.

This is a match that requires a lot, and I believe that we can deliver a better performance than in the first leg."

Regarding the players' readiness, he said, "I am fortunate to have all the players ready for the match."

As for the possibility of playing with a four-man midfield, he said, "Last season, the idea of having Federico Valverde as a wing player helped us win the Champions League.
This season, the attacking line has supported us.
It is not an easy decision, but it has already been made."

When asked about the possibility of reaching penalties, he replied, "We haven't thought about it, and thinking about it would be a mistake. It is a match that could potentially go to penalties, but it is difficult to train for that.

We are focused on winning before the end of the match."

Regarding what he would say to the players, he stated, "Courage and character are important in these matches.
We want to be a team capable of reading the match well."

Ancelotti added, "We will have moments of struggle in the game, but we must endure them because it is normal."

It is worth mentioning that the first leg ended in a positive draw with a goal for each team.
