Meanwhile, Chelsea's points remain at 43, placing them in 12th position.


Manchester City started the match with a lineup dominated by substitute players.

German goalkeeper Stefan Ortega replaced Ederson, while Eric Garcia, Rico Lewis, and Sergio Gomez featured in the defensive line.
In midfield, Calvin Philips and Cole Palmer were present, with Alvarez leading the attacking line.

Manchester City's winning goal came in the 12th minute, scored by Argentine striker Julian Alvarez.

Alvarez added a second goal in the 71st minute after a pass from Riyad Mahrez, but the goal was disallowed by the referee due to a handball by the Algerian star.

Pep Guardiola made substitutions, bringing in some of the key players who were initially on the bench.

Erling Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne, John Stones, and Rodri replaced Riyad Mahrez, Sergio Gomez, Manuel Akanji, and Eric Garcia, respectively.
