Eric Ten Haag, the manager of Manchester United, believes that goalkeeper David De Gea will sign a new contract with the club.
De Gea's current contract is set to expire in June, allowing him to leave for free in the absence of a new agreement.
However, Ten Haag remains optimistic about the 32-year-old's continued presence with the Red Devils.
In a statement following their recent English Premier League match against Fulham, Ten Haag said, "I have to repeat, in our last match, in the past week, in every match, we want him to stay, and he wants to stay. We will reach an agreement together."
He further added, "He made a fantastic save from Fulham's penalty.
It's a step forward in his performance. I believe it's a model for our team throughout the season, which hasn't been good enough."

Continuing his remarks, Ten Haag said, "You have to deliver a better performance.
It was a great save at the right moment in the match. We managed to turn the game around and win in the end. It shows that he can evolve even at this age."
